Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Bars

I prefer the bar variation to the cookies, so I whipped up a couple of batches this afternoon to take to the hospital with me for my Sunday shift. Instead of 2 cups of the chocolate chips, in one of the batches I used 1 cup of the chocolate chips and 1 cup of white chocolate chips. The other batch was made as directed.

Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Bars

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375ยบ.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spread into a greased 15x10 inch jelly roll pan.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 15-20 minutes and then cut.
